The “Gîte of the year” competition confers an award on a gîte, chambre d'hôte or holiday gîte. The winner, as well as meeting the normal standards of the Gîte de France charter and quality criteria, is selected on the following conditions :

  • The originality of its action or works carried out.
  • The importance of this action and its effects on the region.
  • The quality of the means implemented and the results obtained.
The competition is held every year.The 2010 winner was :
